Beyond Service
Practical digital learning to support veterans with confidence, wellbeing and life after service.

The Problem
Life after service can feel like a new mission without a map.
Leaving the forces can affect identity, routine, confidence, mental wellbeing and employment.
Many veterans have valuable skills, but may not always know how to translate them into civilian life, work and community.
What Beyond Service offers
Short learning. Real-life support. Built around veterans.

Transition support
Helping veterans understand civilian workplace culture, confidence, identity and transferable skills.

Wellbeing and routine
Practical learning around mental wellbeing, structure, habits, isolation and asking for support.

Veteran skills for life
Celebrating discipline, pride in standards, organisation, resilience and everyday practical skills.
Planned learning topics
The first phase of Beyond Service will include short digital courses designed to be easy to access, complete and revisit.
This list will be driven by you and your needs
Supporting veterans beyond the uniform
Beyond Service is about more than learning. It is about connection, community and celebration. The project aims to reduce isolation, build confidence and help veterans feel valued for the skills and experience they already have.
It also supports inclusive employment by creating flexible opportunities for veterans and neurodivergent individuals who may not thrive in traditional working environments.
Supported by Veterans Can
Beyond Service is seeking support from Veterans Can to help launch the platform, create the first suite of veteran-focused courses and reach more people across the UK.
The project aligns with the Veterans Can values of connection, community and celebration by bringing veterans together, building shared support and recognising the pride, service and achievements of the Armed Forces community.
