Care Certificate eLearning Courses

Build confident care from day one

Give new health and social care workers the knowledge they need to provide safe, compassionate and person-centred care.

Our Care Certificate eLearning courses are mapped to all 16 Care Certificate standards updated in 2025 and designed specifically for people who are new to health and social care, including non-regulated support workers and healthcare assistants who have direct contact with patients or people who use services.

16 courses. 16 standards. One clear learning pathway.

Care Certificate training built for people new to care

Starting a career in health or social care means learning a lot, quickly.

The Care Certificate provides a common foundation of introductory skills, knowledge and behaviours that help new workers understand what good care looks like and how they contribute to it.

Our courses turn each Care Certificate standard into clear, practical and engaging digital learning, helping learners understand not only what they need to know, but why it matters in everyday care.

The courses can be used as part of an organisation's induction and Care Certificate programme across health and adult social care.

Mapped to the updated 2025 Care Certificate

Every course is built around the official outcomes and assessment criteria contained within the Care Certificate standards updated in 2025.

Rather than combining standards into broad subjects, we have created one course for each Care Certificate standard, making it easier for learners, managers and assessors to understand exactly what has been covered.

Learning designed for real care environments

Care Certificate learning shouldn't feel like reading a policy manual.

Our courses use practical examples and situations that learners may experience in hospitals, care homes, supported living, domiciliary care and community services.

Learners explore subjects through a mixture of:

  • clear, bite-sized learning
  • realistic care scenarios
  • interactive activities
  • process steps and flashcards
  • knowledge checks
  • reflection activities
  • final assessments

The language is designed to be accessible to people who may have little or no previous experience of working in health or social care.

Why choose Simply Skilled?

Clearly mapped to outcomes

Each course follows the relevant 2025 Care Certificate outcomes and assessment criteria, making it easier to evidence the knowledge covered during learning.

Practical, not just theoretical

Learners see how the standards relate to the people they support and the situations they are likely to experience at work.

Built for new starters

We don't assume previous care experience. Important terminology and concepts are explained in plain language and put into context.

More than completing an online course

The Care Certificate is about knowledge, skills and behaviours.

eLearning can provide learning and evidence for many of the knowledge requirements within the Care Certificate, but some criteria require learners to demonstrate their skills in practice.

For example, requirements involving words such as demonstrate, use, show or take appropriate steps may need to be observed and assessed in the workplace by a competent assessor.

Our courses make this distinction clear, helping organisations understand where online learning contributes evidence and where additional workplace assessment is required.

Completing eLearning alone does not award the full Care Certificate. The employer remains responsible for assessment and final sign-off.

FAQs

What is the Care Certificate?

The Care Certificate is a set of 16 standards used across health and adult social care in England. It provides a common foundation of introductory knowledge, skills and behaviours for people working in non-regulated care roles.

Are these courses based on the latest Care Certificate?

Yes. The courses are mapped to the Care Certificate standards updated in 2025, including the new Standard 16: Awareness of Learning Disability and Autism.

Does completing the online learning mean someone has achieved the Care Certificate?

No. The Care Certificate includes both knowledge and practical competence.

eLearning can support and assess knowledge requirements, but practical requirements must also be demonstrated and appropriately assessed. The employer is responsible for deciding when the learner has met all of the Care Certificate standards.

Can we purchase all 16 courses together?

Yes. The complete Care Certificate bundle provides learning covering all 16 standards.

Individual courses can also be made available where organisations only require particular areas of learning.

What languages are supported

The courses are currently translated into Arabic, Bengali, Bulgarian, Chinese, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Estonian, Finnish, French, French (Canada), German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Spanish (Spain), Spanish (Mexico), Spanish (Latin America), Swahili, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, and Vietnamese. And translations load automatically based on the learner's browser language settings. This means learners don't need to manually select their language; if their browser language matches one of your translations, they see that version automatically. If their browser language isn't available, the course simply defaults to your original language.
